Love all the pictures and places you went. Made me so homesick though because I raised my children first in New Hampshire and then Maine. We love it up there! In fact, my son got engaged in Cape Neddick, which is more known as York Beach. We have so many memories there and it was so sweet for him to make this new memory with his best friend and future wife. When I go up to visit, it's like coming home again as a lot of my friends are still there that we raised our kids together. So glad you were able to experience Maine and Acadia is SO beautiful!

My sweet mama was diagnosed with dementia that ended up turning into Alzheimer's. Believe me when i say it never gets easier to watch your loved one forget little by little. One thing i want all of you to remember is that Papa Bill still loves you no matter his mind set. Remember all of the good times, remember who he was before the disease took over. All of your love and patience with each other will help in the long run. Dementia is a horrible thing, that rips the once vivacious loved one from us. With God's love and understanding you can get through it. Prayers for all of you.

I was lucky to grow up in Ellsworth. I took for granted the beauty of Acadia and Maine because with my dad being the Y director and my Mom leading girl scout troops and teen groups at church, I grew up hiking all the mountains of Acadia. I'm glad your family was able to enjoy God's amazing handiwork there!

What a special episode! It was wonderful getting to “meet” your family, Brandon!! We were in Maine last September, where our son and daughter-in-law got engaged on Cadillac Mountain! Unfortunately it was so foggy we didn’t get to see the beautiful sights, other than her engagement ring 💍!! That was the same day we also hiked Jordan’s Pond! Thank you for bringing back wonderful memories!! 🩷

Thank you for introducing us to Brandon's family. What a blessing that you were all able to be together to celebrate your parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I knew there were siblings but I didn't realize how many. I do remember Becky and Angie from the engagement episode on Bringing Up Bates. By the way, I want to tell you how deeply touched I was by your love story and then the engagement. It was so unique and well-planned (great job, Brandon!) and I could feel Michaela's emotions when she realized what was happening. It was so sweet. You're both such kind-hearted, loving people and just seem so perfect for each other. I was a huge fan of the show so it's really nice that you have a UA-cam channel as well as some of the other Bates siblings. Many blessings to you both! ❤

I lived for 2 years in Winter Harbor (across from Bar Harbor), Maine - Ellsworth as the closest “big” city to do grocery shopping. Acadia National Park - BEAUTIFUL!

I havent wattrcched the video.. just what was said about. sea glass. God immediately brough to my attention that sea glass is a great representation of a Christian. Humans were created perfect with a purpose like a glass bottle. Then we hit the storms of life and we bbecome broken. We want God to remove us but it is through those storms that we are refined. Like sea glass. If we remove it out of the ocean immediately it is kust sharp useless glass that no one wants. But if we leave it and allow it to go through the storms of the ocean and be tumbled we are left with a beautiful peace that everyone is drawn to and has a purpose again. It is formed and shaped by the tumbliny. It is exactly what Christians are called to be. It brings joy, its not sharp and broken. It is healed and the light shines through it beautifully
